Find New Tires and Care for Your Current Set at Roswell Hyundai

Did you know that your tires are among your vehicle's most crucial safety features? That's why it's important to have the right type of tires for your new or used Hyundai and make sure that those tires are in excellent shape so that you can drive safely and confidently.

Luckily, you don't have to go it alone when the time comes to find a new set of tires. Our team here at our Hyundai tire center can help you find the perfect new set of tires for your vehicle at a fabulous price.

When to Replace Your Tires

Your tires wear down gradually over time, so it's important to keep an eye on them to make sure that they still have plenty of tread depth and that they don't show any signs of damage or unusual wear patterns. Ignoring your tires can create safety risks, so it's important to check on them from time to time and schedule regular tire service like tire rotations and wheel alignments.

Keep an eye out for:

  • Tread depth: Use the Penny Test to make sure your tires have adequate tread. Slip a penny headfirst in between your tire's tread. If the top of Lincoln's head is visible, you should start shopping for a new set of tires.
  • Damage: Cracks, scalloping, and other obvious signs of damage can be safety hazards.
  • Unusual wear patterns: If you notice that your tires are wearing down faster than they should or that they are wearing in strange ways (such as excessive wear on the outside or inside), it could indicate a problem like improper wheel alignment or tire pressure.
  • Age: Most tires aren't meant to be used past six years old. Even if your tires look like they have plenty of life in them, tire rubber degrades over time and can create a safety hazard, so it's best to replace tires that are getting to be a bit long in the tooth.
